ARTS & HUMANITIES (Ages 15+)

Come see how self-expression is molded through group dynamics, artwork, civic activities, laughing, dancing, team building, and culinary delights. The emphasis of the program is to offer a wide range of programming opportunities for teens and adults

BOWLING

Come and bowl with the YMCA! Choose between one and three games every Tuesday and sharpen your skills at Westside Lanes.

EQUESTRIAN

Practice for the Special Olympics and train with Bitterroot Therapeutic Riding and their four-legged friends.  Stimulating classes that focuses on rider specific goals are offered by NARHA Certified Instructors. The therapeutic benefits of riding are endless and are expressed through the bond of the animal and the individual.  Transportation provided by the YMCA.

WATER EXERCISE

Experience the freedom of assisted water exercise. This class focuses on regaining movement, strength and flexibility for adults with physical disabilities that prevent comfortable land exercise.

 FRIDAY/SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE

Come and enjoy a night on the town (18 years and older, please) one Saturday a month. Activities may include dinner at one of Missoula’s eateries, UM sports events, movies, bowling, or whatever looks like fun!

SPECIAL OLYMPICS SWIMMING

Work on your swimming skills and train for the Special Olympics with the help of an instructor.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS TRACK & FIELD

Practice your skills for competition in the Area State Games.

UNIFIED SOCCER LEAGUE (Ages 15+)

Come one, come all, it’s kickoff time! This program combines athletes with or without disabilities to develop physical fitness while interacting with peers. Lasting friendships will be formed and each athlete will play a valued role on the team. Equal teams will be formed based on age and ability. No score will be kept.

Bump, Set, Spike! Come on out and improve physical fitness, sharpen your skills, and challenge yourself while having fun at the same time. Athletes with and without disabilities participate together and develop a sense of pride and support for one another.
