All-Star Soccer, Flag Football, and Baseball/Softball camps include swimming and snack.
Children need to bring a lunch.
Sports Camps are 9 a.m. 5 p.m. with before & after care from 7:30 a.m. 6 p.m.
This summer, the Missoula Family YMCA’s Youth Sports Department will offer 10 exciting sports camp options. YMCA sports camps focus on sportsmanship and teamwork while developing skills to play the games. All sports camps are coed and incorporate the YMCA core values throughout the week. The coaches for sports camps are current and former high school and collegiate athletes.
BASEBALL/SOFTBALL CAMP (Ages 6 14)
Campers will learn the basic fundamentals of baseball and softball through drills and exercises. Skills in throwing, fielding and batting will be covered. Participants will receive a baseball or softball. Players need to bring a mitt to camp.

FLAG FOOTBALL CAMP (Ages 7 14)
This coed camp teaches kids the basic rules and procedures of football as well as sportsmanship and fair play. Each participant will receive a YMCA football.

ALL STAR SOCCER CAMP (Ages 6 14)
This camp is geared toward players, ages 6 14 who have an “All Star” attitude. With the help of YMCA instructors, they will learn new skills and fun games. Each participant will receive a YMCA soccer ball. Bring a packed lunch, shin-guards, sunscreen and lots of water. Be prepared to have a “kickin” time.

BASKETBALL CAMP (Ages 8 14)
Former college athletes, along with YMCA staff, run this camp. Players learn the fundamentals of dribbling, shooting and passing as well as team play and sportsmanship. Older players work on team concepts and individual skills. Each player receives a YMCA basketball.

ROOKIE SPORTS CAMP (Ages 4 6)
This program is especially designed to introduce children ages 4 6 to soccer, baseball and basketball, including learning basic skills and orientation to team play, and unique YMCA games. All Rookie-Sport campers will have access to child-sized basketball hoops. Each player will receive a ball.

College volleyball players teach kids the basics of volleyball including setting, passing, hitting and serving.

LACROSSE CAMP (Ages 8 14)

JUNIOR GOLF (Ages 7 14)
This camp exposes young golfers to the game. Rules, etiquette, full swing, pitching, chipping, putting, goals of the game and equipment are all part of the lessons. Instruction is provided by pros from Larchmont Golf Course.
Beginner: 8 10 a.m.: Players who are just getting started begin with the basic fundamentals, such as the grip, aiming, and stance, with irons and woods, along with chipping and putting for their short game.
Intermediate: 10:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m.: Kids who have spent time on the range or the course work in more detail with the swing, chipping and putting.
