Physical Therapy with Community Medical Center
The Missoula Family YMCA is proud to announce the addition of the Y Physical Therapy program to the roster of services offered at the Y campus. Two physical therapists on staff at Community Medical Center now have clinic hours at the Y. CMC physical therapy is a proven leader in the region, recognized for its work at the Rehabilitation Institute of Montana. This new service enhances the Y’s Activate America Program, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
CMC Physical Therapists Mary Thane and Sid Whitsell, now provide physical therapy consultation, short-term rehab and continuing care services at the Y weekday mornings. Together, Thane and Whitsell have expertise covering a wide range of specialties.
YMCA members are eligible for one initial free 30-minute session. Each PT session includes an evaluation and treatment in a private treatment area, and an exercise prescription. This is a great option for people who need some help with a physical issue but either don’t want or are unable to see a physical therapist at a formal PT clinic.
Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 7:15 a.m. to noon, by calling the Y at 721-YMCA (9622) or stopping by the Welcome Center. Most insurance is accepted and can be billed, or you can pay at time of service. For further information regarding PT services available and fees involved, please contact the Welcome Center.
