YMCA Careers

When you walk through our doors, you see Y staff members laughing, talking with members as friends, playing with kids. You see loose and comfortable and generally smiling. You see a positive and bright environment. You might even hear someone break into a Village People song.

And behind those loose and easy smiles are very serious people—professionals who are serious about helping each Y member be his or her best self. “We build strong kids, strong families and strong communities” is not just some line to us. It’s real, it’s true, it’s what we strive to do each and every day. Caring, honesty, respect and responsibility are the real and serious themes behind our values-based environment. And there are, of course, meetings and reports and planning constantly going on behind the scenes to keep making this all happen.

The YMCA is the largest not-for-profit community service organization in America—and the Missoula Family YMCA is a significant and growing force in our community.

Our goal is to provide affordable programs and services focused on the holistic development of children and youth, family strengthening and health and wellness for all. That’s a tall order! And that’s why we’re continually looking to meet talented, enthusiastic folks with a passion for helping others—from infants to senior citizens—and with the desire to make a difference.

A career at the Y is …

  • a job that offers meaningful work in a fun, supportive environment,
  • a position that suits your unique talents and interests,
  • a career path to develop strong professional skills and
  • a responsibility with opportunities for growth.

At the Missoula Family YMCA, we offer both full-time and part-time career opportunities in a variety of departments including Accounting, Administration, Aquatics, Child care, Child Watch Center (drop-in nursery), Climbing Wall, Facilities & Maintenance, Health & Wellness, Membership/Welcome Center, Music and Youth Sports

Are you someone who thrives in an environment with the unique challenges of a non-profit community service organization? And are you willing to show kids that safety and sportsmanship are vital parts in all parts of life, including sports, then we want to work with you!
