Big Gym
Ages 11+
The Big Gym is the Y's main indoor sports gym. The court offers one full- and two half-court options, and is lined for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball. Equipment (balls, nets, paddles) is available for check out.
Pat Dodson Youth Gym
All Ages
The Pat Dodson Youth Gym is an indoor half-court gym designed for kids. The court features two 8-foot basketball rims, wood floors, and lines for basketball and pickleball.
YMCA Airnasium
All Ages
The Missoula YMCA's Airnasium is Montana's first covered outdoor court space. This space is designed for pickleball, basketball, and squash. The Airnasium is open year-round during YMCA facility hours. These areas are free and open to the community during non-programmed hours
YMCA Court FAQs
No. Activities during open gym times should allow for anyone to come in and use the space. Full-court basketball games are allowed unless others are looking to use the space, too. Outside practices are allowed, but they need to allow others to use the space as well. Please work cooperatively with other members and guests
No. During open gym times, the space is meant to be open and available for anyone. Activities that limit others from using the space (like setting up nets) are not allowed during open gym.
Yes. Closed-toed, non-marking court shoes are required when playing on YMCA indoor courts.
Close-toed shoes are required when using the Airnasium's outdoor courts.
The YMCA's Youth Gym is available to rent for practices and events. If you’re interested in renting the space for a practice, please email us at youthsports@ymcamissoula.org.
The YMCA's Big Gym is not available for rentals. Teams may practice in the YMCA Big Gym if the players are members or purchase guest passes, but they may not reserve the gym solely for their team.
No. During YMCA programs, events, and rentals, the gym space is reserved for the participants and renters. Please check the gym schedule online to see if the gym is in use or if open gym time is available.
