The Missoula YMCA Swim Team (MYST) is our competitive swim program for swimmers of all ages, swim levels, and abilities. Complete the form below to get started with scheduling your swimmer a Swim Team Taste Test.

Taste Tests provide new swimmers the opportunity to attend a practice and receive recommendations from coaches on if they are ready to join MYST. The YMCA aquatics director will email coach recommendations to swimmer families and help them complete the registration process. 

Taste Tests are offered after Labor Day through the first week of April. Due to the team's short summer season, Taste Tests are not offered May through August. Taste Test requests made during summer months will be scheduled for the Fall.

Can your swimmer swim 8 lengths (200 meters) of any stroke without assistance?
Can your swimmer swim on their back for at least one full length of the pool (25 yards) without assistance?
Is your swimmer comfortable putting their face in the water to blow bubbles?
Can your swimmer do a rudimentary side breath?
